Labor Day Festival

Approximately 120 runners and walkers kicked off Chapman's 100th Labor Day festivities in the Chapman Fun Run. Participants had the option of choosing from a 10K, 5K or 5K walk. The funds raised from the event will benefit the continued tornado relief efforts. The Chapman Community Pride Committee and the Irish Foundation will use the proceeds to fund grants applied for by residents, businesses, churches and schools in Chapman.

This year's sponsors were Manhattan Running Company, 1420 KJCK, Power Hits 97.5, Q 103.5 and RoadID. The Chapman Lion's Club and Community Pride organization would like to thank the City of Chapman Police Department, the Chapman School District and Chapman Cross Country Team, Boyd’s Clothing, Impact Sports and Fitness of Abilene, Three Rivers Engraving, Hildebrand Dairy of Junction City and all of the volunteers and participants for their efforts in making this a successful event.
